I grew up on a farm in Afghanistan, with goats and sheep and a few cows. My mother made thread on an old machine that had been in our family for years, and as a boy I would sit and watch wool from our own sheep slowly become blankets and clothes for us. Mornings there smelled like fresh bread and green tea with cardamom. It was a simple life, and it was a good one.

The war changed everything. At sixteen I began working alongside American forces, and that road eventually brought me to the United States. I served this country for almost twenty years, wrote a book about my life called WarGuy, and these days I sometimes appear on television to talk about the region when something happens there.

All those years, across all those places, I tried everything — brands from the East, the Middle East, Europe, New York. Different fabrics, different designs, different fittings. Some looked good and felt cheap. Some fit right and fell apart. After years of wearing it all, I finally found the material and the fit I had been looking for — and that’s what inspired me to build my own brand.

Good quality. A fit that actually fits you. And a meaning behind it — because I know what clothing is worth when you’ve watched it made from the sheep up.

A portion of every order goes to the Mohibi Foundation, which supports the community I come from — people still living through very hard times. They are family to me, and this is one small way of staying close to them.
